Kingston HyperX 3K SH103S3/120G 120GB SSD Pros and Cons Review

Small Review:

Engineered for Cost-effective performance The Kingston HyperX 3K Solid State Drives are designed and built for cost-effective performance. By leveraging the latest SATA 6Gbps interface and the second generation of SandForce SSD controller (SF-2281) which features the award winning DuraClass Technology, the HyperX 3K 120GB version pushes the limits in both sequential and random data transfer rates with up to 555MB/s read and 510MB/s write, plus incredible sustained 4KB read/write performance of 20,000/60,000 IOPS. This significantly improves your productivity, gaming, multimedia, and overall computing experience. It is backwards compatible with SATA II / 3Gbps. (Rated speeds may vary slightly depending on the benchmark used, drivers, windows version, bios version and file size.)

Pro and Cons of Kingston HyperX 3K SH103S3/120G 120GB SSD

Pros

  • Good looking design.
  • Affordable.
  • Fast read/write speeds.
  • Boots really fast.
  • Windows install takes only 5 minutes.
  • 3 years warranty.
  • Runs without noise or vibrations.
  • Programs will start instantly with this SSD on your system.

Cons

  • Tends to die quite fast, in about 1 year.

Conclusion

Kingston HyperX 3K is one of the fastest SSD you can buy at this price rage. It has also a beautiful design and is not expensive at all. If 120GB is enough for you, go ahead and by this one. But keep in mid that it tends to break kid of fast, but with the 3 years warranty at least you will get a new one... just make sure you back-up periodically, your important files.
