Pros
- Brilliant idea to combine a tablet with a laptop
- Two high-end Full HD ISP displays
- Very good view angles and color reproduction
- Very good contrast and black values
- Powerful and economic processor
- Robust built, it is covered in aluminum all the way
- Decent battery life
- Good SSD installed
- The speakers quality is surprisingly plesant
- 2 USB 3.0 ports
- Cool operating temperatures
- Elegant packaging
- Full sized keyboard, very comfortable to use
- Generous touch-pad
Cons
- Weight makes it to heavy for use as a tablet but is perfect for a ultrabook
- No dongle included for the conversion of micro-HDMI port into normal sized port
- No LAN port, but there is a dongle included that converts a USB to LAN
- Not good for playing games, the Intel HD 4000 isn't powerful enough to render the newest games, but you will run fine any game up to 2011.
Conclusion
If you are someone who want to have any new innovation in the tech area the you should defenetly but a ASUS Taichi31. The idea of merging a tablet with a notebook is brilliant. Taichi31 is stylish piece of equipment that will draw the attention of anyone who will see it. Keep in mind that is not build for gaming, so if you plan to play the newest titles this one is not the device for you.
