Pro and Cons of NVIDIA Shield
Pros
- Very good battery life
- Large variety of android games available
- Powerful Tegra 4, quad-core, processor clocked a 1.9Ghz
- 2GB of RAM
- The screen is looking great and has nice color reproduction
- Solid and sturdy construction
- It can emulate lots of systems
- Powerful speakers that give a clear sound quality
- Feels great in hands
- Ability to play PC games (stream)
- Intuitive controls
- Runs cool
Cons
- A bit heavy
- Expensive
- Only 16GB of internal memory. Android games tend to get bigger and you can't fit many quality games in 16GB
- Only way to connect to internet is through WI-FI
- Small amount of games optimized for it.
- To use the stream properly you will need a dual-band router
Conclusion
NVIDIA Shield is a must for any serius gaming. It is able to run any android game flawlessly and stream PC games so you can play them comfortably while you relax on the couch. The controls are well made and intuitive and you will fall in love with them in a heartbeat. But if you only play touch-screen games on your phone, it doesn't worth the investment.
